Meet Kesh
Hey! I’m Kesh! I’m a lifestyle blogger born and raised in Houston, TX. Let’s axe the small talk and cut right to the chase. I’m a wife, mom, and full time engineer. I’m a proud alum of an HBCU and member of the illustrious Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. I began climbing the corporate ladder my sophomore year in college, and although I am beyond blessed and grateful for the life it has afforded me, I still felt like God had another calling for my life. One where I could reach people, women, moms like myself. I’ve always loved writing and probably have about 3 Academy award winning films, 10 New York best sellers, and 5 Emmy nominated primetime sitcoms still sitting in a Microsoft Word draft somewhere. I could never figure out exactly what I was supposed to do with that desire that’s been tugging on me. Like an email from Jesus would be sweet! lol Don’t count me out now. One day I just might publish something amazing.
Although I enjoy what I do professionally, can I honestly say it’s my passion? If this is my boss reading, yes! LOL If not, nah. Truth is, I’m still figuring some things out. I’m super intentional about encouraging higher education with my children, but also honing in on their skills and passions early. I’ll support just about any dream they have as long as it’s legal and tasteful. As I support and encourage them to follow their dreams, I felt like a hypocrite for not doing the same, but that was then. After 30+ years (because that’s my business) of trying to figure it out, I decided to start a YouTube channel. You wouldn’t believe half of the craziness that goes on in this family of 7! That YouTube channel has since led to influencing on Instagram. When I tell you, I have met some AH-Mazing boss women on there… whew chile! A few have become mentors, and they have encouraged me to not limit myself. I don’t own any of those social media sites, but this baby right here…mine.
My goal is simply this: I want to help/ inspire/ influence as many women and moms as I can to go after the life they want. We wear many hats, but how many are truly for us? This blog was what I needed for me. We can be wives, girlfriends, moms, daughters, sisters, friends, colleagues, entrepreneurs all at the same time. Does that sound like something you’re into? Cool. Let’s get into it.
